Kennedy Center president at Butler

The economic downturn has sent arts funding across the country into a tailspin. But Michael Kaiser, president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, thinks he can help. Kaiser is traveling to all 50 states with his presentation "Arts in Crisis: A Kennedy Center Initiative." He will be in Indianapolis, at Butler University's Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall, Aug. 11, 9 a.m.-noon. The event is free, but registration is required at www.cloweshall.org/artsincrisis. More information is available at artsincrisis.org. The program is recommended for non-profit 501(c)(3) performing arts organizations and provides free and confidential planning assistance.
