"Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre’s latest full-length production, SUPERHERO: the story of a man called Jesus, will receive its world premiere Aug. 18-19 at the Pike Performing Arts Center. The performance focuses on the events of the last week in the life of Jesus of Nazareth and is told through the perspectives of Jesus, the women who surrounded him at his crucifixion and his complicated friendship with Judas, the man who betrayed him.

Hancock and Becki Banet-Lucas have created a set utilizing texts from the Gospels written in Greek, Latin, Hebrew, Aramaic and English.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased online at www.pikepac.org or charged by phone at 317-216-5455. GHDT will still honor season ticket holders from Ballet Internationale. Pike is located at 6701 Zionsville Road.
