The 2008 International Festival will feature some new elements this year. The Peking Opera Chinese Theatre is the featured entertainment, showcasing an art form that originated over 200 years ago. Performances are movement intensive with sword fights, acrobatics and martial arts accompanied by traditional musical instruments. Also featured: Earth Adventure, a 20-foot-diameter balloon model of the Earth; Indiana State Library’s Genealogy Programs; International Beer and Wine Tasting; and so much more.
The festival is held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1200 E. 38th St. Public hours are Nov. 21, 2-9 p.m.; Nov. 22, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Nov. 23, 12-6 p.m. Admission is $7 advance and $9 at the door; children’s admission is $6. For more information, go to www.indyinternationalfestival.org
