The INDIEana Handicraft Exchange is Indianapolis' first and only contemporary craft fair, a conscious celebration of modern handmade goods, the relationship between creator and consumer and local, alternative economies. Starting as a once-a-year happening, the IHE expanded to a bi-annual event. This weekend, on Friday and Saturday, the IHE will make camp at the Harrison Center For the Arts (1505 N. Delaware St.), in the gymnasium, Gallery No. 2 and the Underground. More than 70 vendors will have work - from the adorable to the slightly sinister - for sale. And there will be live music by the likes of Shirtless Biddles, Many Marie Luke & Mo Foster, The Jack Davies and Julia Schaefer & D. Mark Conway. Friday night, the IHE runs from 6-9 p.m. It continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free. Call (317) 446-5535 for more information.
