Local horror filmmaker Mark Goles and his crew of ghouls and ghosts rarely fail to deliver, and this year is no exception. Frightland, filling up a 30,000-square-foot warehouse eight miles east of 465 on Washington Street, is a massive, unnerving run through haunt heaven (or hell, depending on how you see it.) This is strictly old-school, analog horror; not a single animatronic to be found. Instead, you wander through seemingly endless halls of identical white doorways (disconcerting, that) from one hellish encounter to the next. It’s all down to the crew of actors, who throw themselves into their roles with great gusto time after time. Even as they keep their distance, you’re left with the nerve-jangled feeling that they just might jump and mangle you with broken glass at any minute. (And when they inevitably turn on each other, it’s some rough, bloody territory.) This weekend they’ll also be adding Jigsaw’s House of Horror (the only “Saw”-endorsed haunted house in the Midwest) and conducting a blood drive
