"Jeremy Efroymson’s latest project, the Midwest Museum of Contemporary Art, was supposed to open last fall in Carmel. That didn’t happen. But the show that Efroymson hoped to unveil, BACKYARD — a look at suburban backyard living, couldn’t be stopped. Efroymson is bringing this group exhibition exploring the formal and conceptual qualities of the American suburban backyard to the scene of one of his previous projects, the Harrison Gallery. BACKYARD presents video work, photography, drawing, sculpture and installations by 11 artists, including Emily Kennerk, David A. Parker, Meredith Allen, Yoon Cho, Chris Vorhees and Pipo Nguyen-Duy. The show is in Harrison Gallery and Gallery No. 2; the artists’ reception is Jan. 4 from 6-9 p.m. For more information, call 317-396-3886 or go to www.harrisoncenter.org.
