Though the quality of each performance hinges on the cleverness of audience ad-libs, Cinderella is the best show I have seen at ComedySportz. The gimmick is that the actors play through a loosely drawn Cinderella-esque plot in which the setting, characters and themes are determined by audience suggestion. Most of the players were able to manipulate each suggestion into the plot fluidly, and worked through tough spots with wit and candor. But one actor in particular had a range of characters that merely spanned from mildly-gay-stereotype to super-gay-stereotype, and the pointless flamboyance detracted from an otherwise great evening of comedy. The funniest jokes, however, were basic toilet humor, so don't expect any arcane literary references or mind-bending witticisms.
