Riley Area Development and the Arts Council of Indianapolis are seeking proposals for temporary public art installations for the Mass. Ave. Cultural District to supplement the district’s ongoing rotating sculpture gallery. The deadline for proposals is March 17 at 5 p.m.
Up to four projects will be selected for placement between Delaware Street to the southwest and Interstates 65/70 to the northeast.
Artists must be living in Indiana or one of the contiguous states and must be able to install their projects between June 19-23. Installations must remain up for 18 to 24 months. Selected artists will be notified in April. A $5,000 fee will be paid to each selected artist. Artists who submit project concepts should be prepared to meet with Mass. Ave. stakeholders and neighborhood representatives.
