"Storytelling Arts of Indiana will present storyteller and bona fide liar from Half Dollar, W.Va., Bil Lepp telling Inept, Impaired & Overwhelmed on Jan. 13, 8-10 p.m. at the Indiana History Center. Lepp is a featured teller at the National Storytelling Festival and the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival who tells original, Appalachian tall tales, and fictional tales about growing up written by himself and his brother. Plus, Lepp is an ordained Methodist minister, lending him a unique perspective. Many of his tales are about getting out of scrapes using good old mountaineer ingenuity along with wacky adventures with cows and campers, armadillo hunting and mountain lions. Lepp is the five-time champion of the West Virginia Liars Contest. After his fifth win, he was made an MC of the contest so others would have a chance at winning. Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door. Call the IHC, 450 W. Ohio St., at 317-232-1882. "
