We've grown so accustomed to cars being a normal part of our everyday lives that we no longer look at them with awe. This Saturday, though, you can remember that cars truly are something to behold. On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Carmel Arts & Design District will feature the second annual Artomobilia festival. The festival will showcase classic American muscle cars of the '60s and '70s, as well as exotic imports and rare collectibles from every decade. One car will be awarded Best in Show and others will be awarded Best in Class among 16 categories ranging from historically preserved classics to racers. In addition the event will spotlight the Hudson in honor of its 100th anniversary. The event will also include car-related art and paintings alongside the cars themselves because, as event chair Roger Brummet said, "they're both things of beauty." So come on down and enjoy this wonderful event from noon to 6 p.m. For more information, please visit www.carmelartsanddesign.com.
