Angela Brown wowed a packed house at the Arts Council's annual Start With Art gathering in September with stories of growing up in her Indianapolis 'hood. Then she let loose with that gorgeous voice that's had opera fans around the world at her feet and, well, it was all over. Brown says she loves Indianapolis and she's backing that up by starring in the Indianapolis Opera's production of Ariadne auf Naxos, a comic opera by Richard Strauss at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University on Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. The production will performed in German with English supertitles. James Caraher conducts the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Tickets range from $30 to $115 and can be purchased at the Clowes Hall Box Office, or via Ticketmaster: call (317) 239-1000, (317) 239-5151 or visit Ticketmaster online.
