"The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Dance Kaleidoscope will collaborate to present a melding of dance and music in their production of Gustav Holst’s The Planets.
The show will have two intermissions, and will begin with DK performing Earthworks, a seven-movement electronic work. The second and third portions will feature DK and the ISO performing The Planets with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir Women’s Chorus.
After the Sept. 22 show, a special telescopic viewing of Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and the moon will take place at the Holcomb Observatory from 10-11:30 p.m.
Concerts are Sept. 22, 8 p.m. and Sept. 23, 3 p.m. at Clowes Hall on the Butler University campus. Tickets begin at $30 and go up to a $100 “Galaxy Package.” For tickets, call Ticketmaster at 317-239-1000, or for information go to www.indyorch.org.
