No worries if you don’t have tickets yet. The Broadway Across America-Indianapolis presentation of Disney’s The Lion King will be on stage at the Murat for a whopping five-plus-week engagement Nov. 19-Dec. 28, so there are bound to be some great seats just waiting for you. The truly jaw-dropping spectacle of puppetry and performance is one of the most moving shows you will ever see.
Two cast members in the touring company have local connections: Trista Dollison (ensemble), who is originally from Indianapolis, and Tony Freeman, who presciently performed in Indiana Repertory Theatre’s 1995 production of Broadway Bound. Freeman, who will portray Zazu, has previously played the role on Broadway for over 1,500 performances.
