Phoenix Russell Main, Five Stars: see remaining performing times here.
Tymisha Harris is what is known as a Triple Threat! She can sing, dance and act—and her show at the Phoenix is not to be missed. Harris chronicles the life of Josephine Baker in a highly entertaining fashion through both song and dance. Her talent is unmistakable, and the standing ovation she received on opening night was well deserved. I was mesmerized by her performance, and the songs she performed were a Masters Class in how to interpret a song so they draw the audience in, and move the story along. If you happen to be either a straight man or a lesbian, be sure to sit in the front row (you can thank me later). There is a reason she won Best of Fest and Outstanding Solo Performance at the 2016 San Diego Fringe. I would be highly surprised if she did not win the same awards here. Opening night was sold out. Be sure to get your tickets early. The sooner the better.
