Andy Roddick has some strange quirks. Besides being so out-spoken on the court, I have noticed that he kisses or whispers to his tennis balls before he serves. Maybe it's superstition or maybe it's just coincidence. I have also noticed that all players take three balls from the ball kids and through one back. I'd say they are being picky, but I suppose they want the best quality tennis ball.

I got to sit on the court last night. I think I could feel the ball flying past my head - or maybe it was just the bugs that wouldn't leave me along. Anyhow, I was by an umpire. I still don't know what their grunting translates to; ocassionally I though heard him say "out." But then, during -the next call, it just turned caveman-like again.
