It will be performed in its original Spanish at seven of the performances, and the English translation, by Jorge Ignacio Cortinas, will be performed at the other 12 performances.
After the death of their mother, two Mexican brothers are sent to their grandmother so their father can find work in America. When their grandmother dies, the two are sent to live with an aunt and uncle. As their loneliness deepens, the brothers decide to set out to cross the border to find their father.
Our Dad is in Atlantis will be performed in the Frank & Katrina Basile Theatre. Performances are Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There will be no performance May 16. Tickets for performances in English are $25, $15 for those 24 and under. During CheapSeats week, May 8-11, all tickets are just $15. All Spanish-language performances are $15. Call the Phoenix, 749 N.
