Thumbsdown: Why they call it dope

The New Albany-Floyd County school system in southeast Indiana will be making free drug-testing kits available to parents who fear their kids are getting loaded. Project 7th Grade, a group based in Phoenix, Ariz., provides the $40 kits at no charge. But there’s a problem: The American Academy of Pediatrics says the kits aren’t effective. They’re also a poor substitute for a trusting relationship between parents and kids.
