Another Hoosier sports cathedral will be imploded: The Hoosier, er, RCA Dome will follow in the footsteps of Market Square Arena and come tumbling down this October. Controlled Demolition, a Maryland company that successfully brought down Seattle’s Kingdome, will drop the RCA Dome with 600 to 800 timed explosions. The Indiana Convention Center will expand into the space occupied by the Dome. Construction on the expansion begins in June and should be completed by fall 2010.
