INDY'S WEEKLY ALTERNATIVE NEWSPAPER HIGHLIGHTING ARTS, ENTERTAINMENT AND SOCIAL JUSTICE

Thumbs down: Water water everywhere

by Editors
A prospective class action lawsuit has been brought by two customers of Veolia Water North America against the city’s water company. Since last July, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission has received 165 complaints about Veolia. Customers claim that Veolia hasn’t been reading their meters every two months, as it is required to do, and that their bills are higher than they should be. This suit points to what critics have claimed is a pattern of questionable business practices by Veolia, many of which have been previously  covered by NUVO.
