Keira Amstutz, the person who coordinated former mayor Bart Peterson’s cultural initiative, has been hired to lead the Indiana Humanities Council. The IHC, which once was a significant cultural force in Indiana, providing grants for public programs and scholarship and producing major projects like “Always a River” and “Wordstruck,” has kept a low profile for over a decade. Here’s hoping Amstutz can bring back its public face.
