• A fire broke out at the Austin City Limits festival over the weekend, critically injuring two food workers.

• Kanye West appears to have won the opening week record sales battle with 50 Cent. Early projections have West selling more than 700,000 copies, compared to Cent’s 500,000.

• Despite announcing he was leaving Motley Crüe a while ago, Tommy Lee now claims he will not walk away from the band.

• Marilyn Manson has released his own brand of absinthe, called “Mansinthe.”

• The White Stripes cancelled their performance at the ACL Festival, along with their remaining dates on the tour.
