• Paul McCartney and Heather Mills have finally reached an agreement in their divorce settlement. Mills will receive $140 million dollars in total from McCartney.

• The Tokyo Police Club have signed a deal with Saddle Creek Records.

• Lil’ Wayne and Ja Rule were both arrested in separate incidents in New York City this weekend for possession of a firearm.

• The Cure will release a documentary in 2009 to commemorate their 30th anniversary.

• The NYPD shut down a video shoot for Ben Lee’s upcoming single “Love Me Like the World is Ending,” because some of the “crew” was picked up for public indecency.

• A rumored reunion tour for the Yardbirds could possibly happen this fall.

• A pair of John Lennon’s gold-framed round glasses are fetching more than $1.5 million in an auction on www.991.com.

• Kanye West has changed his upcoming album’s release date to Sept. 11, the same day as 50 Cent’s upcoming record.

• Rihanna’s smash hit single, “Umbrella,” continued its dominance on the U.K. chart, staying at No. 1 for the 10th consecutive week. It is the first single to have accomplished that in over 10 years.
