• This weekend at the Glastonbury Music Festival one concertgoer died from an apparent drug overdose.

• During Gwen Stefani’s L.A. tour dates, she surprised the crowd by bringing out the members of No Doubt and mixing their hits into her set.

• Mars Volta has entered the studio to work on its new record.

• The Cure has announced a U.S. tour. The closest gig is at the Allstate Arena in Chicago Sept. 29.

• The lineup for the Voodoo Fest in New Orleans has been announced. The Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Wilco and Fall Out Boy will headline the Oct. 26-28 festival.

• Paul McCartney is apparently so happy with his new record on Starbucks’ record label that he said he is going to do his next with them as well.
