• The Arctic Monkeys’ new record, Favourite Worst Nightmare, sold  85,000 copies on its first day of release yesterday in the U.K. alone. That’s more than the rest of the top 20 combined. The Monkeys are also making serious chart history this week in the U.K. when they will have 18 singles in the Top 200 Internet download sales chart.

• Green Day has announced they are releasing their cover of John Lennon’s “Working Class Hero” as a download for charity that will benefit Darfur.

• Mick Jagger started writing a memoir but abandoned the project as he got extremely bored with it.

• Paul McCartney’s new record will be released on June 5 on Starbucks’ record label.  The LP is titled Memory Almost Full.

• Rumor has it Britney Spears is starting her official comeback this week with three secret shows at various House of Blues venues throughout California. She is supposedly performing under the name The M + M’s.

• After being denied to enter the U.K., Snoop Dogg was also just denied entry into Australia.

• Interpol has set a release date of July 10 for their new record, Our Love to Admire.

• Rapper Eve was arrested on DUI charges.
