The Phoenix Theatre has replaced their next show in the summer lineup. Instead of Love Person, they will present the Midwest premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher’s Murderers.

The show is set in the Riddle Key Luxury Senior Retirement Living Center and Golf Course in Florida. While the center is more estate than retirement home, the one missing luxury is safety: People seem to be dying off at an alarming rate. The play consists of three monologues that each begins with its character announcing, “I am a murderer.” The three stories are “The Man who Married his Mother-in-Law,” “Margaret Faydle Comes to Town” and “Match Wits with Minka Lupino.”

Murderers will be performed in the Frank & Katrina Basile Theatre July 24-Aug. 16, Thursdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25, $15 for those 24 and under. During CheapSeats week, July 24-26, all tickets are just $15. For reservations, call the box office, 749 N. Park Ave., at 317-635-PLAY or go to www.phoenixtheatre.org.
