Laughter (and bourbon)

Thanks for making my day (Hammer, “Advice for the Class of 2007,” May 9-16). Your speech to the class of 2007 is a masterpiece. I have a son 20 years old in college who’s struggling with all of the usual shit, and there’s just nothing that I can say to prepare him for the world as we now know it. I think that laughter (and bourbon) might indeed be the only answer. Thank goodness we have the likes of you to help with the laughter part.
