The Cottage Home Neighborhood will open its doors for a home tour. The historic neighborhood is located just northeast of downtown at the end of the Massachusetts Avenue.

The event kicks off May 16 with a twilight reception and behind-the-scenes tour showcasing the Vonnegut- and Bohn-designed Ruskaup Mansion, as well as the adjacent 1870s brick store. Enjoy wine and gourmet appetizers and music by the Tonos Triad.

The habitat-themed tour highlights the living spaces of the many inhabitants who live in the neighborhood. See 12 eclectic cottages as well as backyard habitats, the community garden and new playground. See complete and in progress restorations, green building techniques and yards certified as Backyard Wildlife Habitats.

Tickets for Friday night are $35. Hours for Saturday and Sunday are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance at Midland Arts and Antiques, Fusek’s True Value and the Community Choice Federal Credit Union. Tickets are the event are $12. For more information, go to www.corragehome.info.
