Contemporary Taiwanese art at UIndy

In the mood for a real eye-opener? Taiwan: From Within the Mist is a major touring exhibition of showcasing avant-garde work by 21 Taiwanese artists in media including painting, photography, digital imagery, sculpture, printmaking, video and multimedia installations. This is a remarkably cutting-edge show addressing an array of themes, including Westernization, commercialization and the tension between the post-industrial world and longstanding cultural traditions. The show goes on display Nov. 12, with a reception scheduled for Friday, Nov. 16 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
