Two of this town’s literary treasures, Mari Evans and Fran Quinn, will share a stage at Broadway United Methodist Church Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Evans is celebrating the publication of her first book of essays, Clarity As Concept a Poet’s Perspective, just out from Third World Press. Quinn has been crisscrossing the country conducting poetry workshops. Both of them are crazy about chocolate, hence the name of the event: “An Evening With … Mari Evans, Fran Quinn and Chocolate.” This evening of commentary on life, language, clarity and poetry is free of charge, but reservations are requested. Call 317-924-4207 to reserve places. Broadway United Methodist is located at 609 E. 29th St., just west of Fall Creek.
