In this issue of NUVO there are two stories — about the Independent Music + Art Festival at the Harrison Center and an art vending machine in the Artsgarden — that concern creative projects funded by the Cultural Development Commission. Props to putting public money behind these cutting-edge collaborations.
	AWOL. Just when it looks like the issue over whether or not Conner Prairie should be independent of Earlham College is coming to a head, Earlham President Doug Bennett announces … he’s going on sabbatical?! Yet another sign that Earlham hasn’t a clue about what it takes to run a living history museum.
