Kelli Shay Hicks performs at Big Car Gallery’s Bloody Sunday fund-raiser for the Indiana Blood Center on Sunday. In an effort to raise awareness and donations for the Indiana Blood Center, the Bloody Sunday Acoustic Music Series at Big Car Gallery in Fountain Square continues on Sept. 10 with live performances by Snow Cuts Glass, In Ink Please, Kelli Shay Hicks and Lovely Houses beginning at 3 p.m. All four acts are currently promoting their latest indie releases of what could loosely be called subdued pop (or damn good original music).
The Indiana Blood Center’s mobile donation center will be in the parking lot behind the Murphy Art Center to accept blood donations from 2-5 p.m. The Indiana Blood Center reminds donors to eat a good meal and drink plenty of water beforehand. It will take 25-35 minutes to donate blood. Juice and baked goods will be provided.
Big Car is located at 1043 Virginia Ave. (www.murphyartcenter.com). Parking is available behind the arts center off of Woodlawn Avenue. There is an optional $5 donation for the bands. More information on the performers and downloads of their music can found at:
