by Editors

Author Todd Gitlin is part of the Annual Ann Katz Festval of Books that begins next Wednesday, Oct. 24.
Back again: the largest festival of books and authors in Central Indiana, the Ann Katz Festival opens on Oct. 24 and runs through Nov. 15, with programs for people of all ages and interests. Although donations are encouraged, most programs are free of charge, with nearly all taking place in the Laikin Auditorium at the Arthur M. Glick JCC, 6701 Hoover Rd. One of this year’s highlights will be a visit by Todd Gitlin, on Thursday, Oct. 25, to talk about his new book, The Bulldozer and the Big Tent: Blind Republicans, Lame Democrats, and the Recovery of American Ideals. Gitlin’s program begins at 7:30 p.m. For more information about this and other festival programs, visit
