The 15th Annual Lotus World Music and Arts Festival enjoyed perfect weather last weekend as revelers roamed the streets of Bloomington, treated to music from bands from around the world.

Latin pop rock bands Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys brought their crowd pleasing tex mex grooves and guitar riffing to the Murat Egyptian Room Saturday night.

Indy's biggest punk fest of the year, Piradical Fest II went down last Saturday, July 19th at Trinity Church's Central Space near Broad Ripple. Two stages allowed quick transitions between sets as twenty different bands booked by Piradical Productions were crammed into 12 hours.

Local jazz singer Everett Greene performed with the Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra Thursday July 17th downtown along the canal as part of the Indiana Historical Society's series of free weekly Concerts on the Canal.

Rapper and actor Ice-T recited "Ask Your Mama: Twelve Moods for Jazz", a poem about the struggles of black Americans written by Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes with the accompaniment of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and a jazz quartet from Minnesota Wednesday night.
