I once heard that the average age of symphony-goer's is 80. Last night's Happy Hour at the Symphony proved that statistic was outdated! Perhaps it was the free food, desserts, coffee and other beverages that wheeled everyone in - young and old alike!

Jester music festival, held at German Park Friday and Saturday August 17-18, proved to be an exciting weekend long extravaganza. With entertainment from bands such as "Here Come the Mummies" and parties that lasted until the wee hours of the morning, there was something for everyone at this years festival.

In order to whet a few appetites, Easely Winery hosted a sneak peak of what's to come for this Saturday, August 11th on College Ave.
The fourth annual Easley Winery's "Chef's Academy Taste of Downtown" takes place on blocked-off College Avenue between Ohio Street and New York Street. It begins at 12 noon on Saturday, August 11, 2007 and ends at 8 pm. There is no admission charge for the event and all ages are welcome!

Those who came (no pun) on wednesday night at the Old Centrum were offered an interesting evening, to say the very least. Ron Jeremy, porn king and star of 1800 pornographic films, butted heads with Craig Gross, porn pastor and master-debator.
Sparks flew and a few children cried (not really), but everyone made it out okay in the end.

Saturday July 21st, Blu Martini hosted the party of the summer. Men and women decked in white garb came pouring through the doors to celebrate a much anticipated evening. DJ Cool Hand Lex was there to spice things up a little bit. Proceeds from the evening were donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
