The Murat is actually two venues in one: the grand main theater, which provides a theater-type experience; and the Egyptian Room, an upstairs facility with limited seating and a more free-form experience. With a few exceptions, calmer, more mainstream acts play the theater, while hard rock, rap and metal shows are in the Egyptian Room. Either way, the Murat provides a comfortable, friendly environment for shows. Alcohol is served at most shows.
