The Big Ten Women's Basketball Championships are on in Indianapolis!

At Bankers Life on Friday in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament the #10 Indiana Hoosiers squared off against the #7 Michigan Wolverines. Michigan started early with a 30- 8 run giving them a 32-15 lead and along with five players in double figures for the second time this year Michigan beat the Hoosiers 82-57.

It was a similar but different story with the Boilers as they were the team to beat ranked #4 and Iowa ranked #5.

Purdue had the first game off and the Hawkeyes whom had a just come off a good win the night before. The Hawkeyes having all five of their starters in double figures and having a 91.7 percent at the free throw line compared to the Boilers 86.7 percent at the line was key to the Hawkeye victory.

Other match-ups included Iowa State vs. Illinois and Ohio St. vs. Northwestern.
