If you need some free, post-holiday entertainment, take the family to Winterfest Dec. 27, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Indiana History Center. Make winter-themed hands-on crafts, or listen to musicians and performers. A complimentary hot chocolate bar will be available, and the Cole Porter Room will host screenings of "Frosty the Snowman" (10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.) and "A Christmas Story" (11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.).
Activities available for a small fee include cookie decorating, face painting and caricatures.??
The day's performances will include music from New World Youth Orchestra (10:15 a.m.), The Kaver Wind Trio (11 a.m.) and Asante Children's Theatre Kwanzaa Choir (2:15 p.m.). Radio Disney will also be on site from noon-2 p.m. with more music, games, dancing and prize drawings.
While you are there, see the "Holidays in the Heartland" exhibition, on display through Jan. 3.
