"Why Sturgis?" Screenings at the Eiteljorg Museum 

When: Sat., April 14, 11 a.m., Sat., May 12, 11 a.m., Sat., June 9, 11 a.m. and Sat., July 21, 11 a.m. 2012
Price: Museum admission fee.
The 2005 documentary "Why Sturgis?" plays on selected dates as part of the "Steel Ponies: Art and History of the Motorcycle" exhibit at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Indianapolis, IN.

The 89-minute movie about the history of Sturgis, South Dakota, was created by Indiana residents Martin Schliessmann and John Brune.

Steel Ponies exhibit is running now through August 5, 2012. The film "Why Sturgis?" begins at 11am on the following special Saturday programming events: April 14, May 12, June 9, and July 21. (Doors open at 10am.)

Film showings and exhibit is free with price of museum admission. "Why Sturgis?" DVDs available for purchase at the museum store.
