Visual Fringe winner at Wug Laku's

Lydia Burris won IndyFringe's Visual Fringe Indypendent award for the painting shown here. She and her mother, Catherine Burris, will share a show at Wug Laku's Studio & Garage, 1125 Brookside Ave., C7, opening Sept. 4 with a reception from 6-9 p.m. They will present multimedia and assemblage work inspired by dreams, personal experience and broad interests. "Sometimes the mundane or forgotten can contribute to a new species," Catherine says. See what she means; the show is titled A Little Madness and hangs through Sept. 26.
