Baking for voters. Thanks to about 30 volunteers,’s local group raised more than $550 for the organization Saturday afternoon at a downtown bake sale. Just as important, volunteers registered at least 20 people to vote. is an Internet-based grass-roots political organization determined to help give ordinary people a voice in our democracy.
Property values. A small group of residents threatened and harassed homeowners who were voicing ongoing mold-related concerns on public property near a new Trinity development in Whitestown. One called the protestors “terrorists” — among other slurs. Ironically, the threatening residents also complained that the protesters were violating their rights.
Double standard. Last week, the Gannett-owned INtake featured a cover story on recycling. While we appreciate the information, it’s important to note that INtake has absolutely NO recycled content in its paper product. Perhaps they’ll read their own copy and be inspired to demand recycled content.
