Thumbs down: Kids don't count in Indiana 

Child poverty, low-birth-weight babies and juveniles detained or committed in state facilities in Indiana exceed national rates, according to U.S. Census data reported in the 2008 KIDS COUNT Data Book, the latest annual state-by-state study on the well-being of America’s children released by the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
