Thumbs down: deer in the headlights 

Cars and deer are crashing into each other in Indiana at an alarming rate. Deer-vehicle accidents are up 25 percent in Indiana since 2003. That compares with a 15 percent increase nationwide. Last year, 223 people died in crashes involving animals across the country. The State Police urge drivers to be on the alert for deer, especially at night.
