The Phoenix Theatre, 749 N. Park Ave., kicks off its new season with an ensemble piece that brings together several actors with long and productive associations with the theater. Shane Chuvalas, Bill Simmons, Karen Irwin, Ricardo Melendez, Doug Johnson and Scot Greenwell are all featured in The Most Damaging Wound
, a Midwest premiere by Blair Singer. The play turns on the reunion of five college friends who gather to complete an unfinished rite of passage that includes getting very drunk and burning a box of memorabilia from their glory days. The show runs Sept. 3-26, Thursdays at 7 p.m. ($15), Fridays-Saturdays at 8 p.m. ($20) and Sundays at 2 p.m. ($15). Tickets can be purchased by calling 317-635-PLAY or online at www.phoenixtheatre.org.
