Tarsem (“The Cell”) returns with another great-looking lousy movie. Shot in stunning locations in over 18 countries, the film deals with an injured stunt man (Lee Pace from “Pushing Daisies”) who tells an elaborate fantasy story to a young fellow patient (Catinca Untaru) in order to trick the little girl into getting him drugs. The main story is slow and depressing and the fantasy reminded me of the kind of disjointed narrative a child cooks up while playing with action figures. We are told about the great emotions being experienced by the characters, but we don't share them; we just watch the bizarre pictures. So does that leave us? A visually opulent train wreck. 116 minutes. DVD INFO: Includes two commentary tracks, deleted scenes and a couple of featurettes.
