There aren’t a lot of places in Indianapolis that regularly have lines out the door. The Donut Shop is the exception, with an unassuming store front and a few tables lining the walls, and folks queued up all the way to the parking lot on most weekends. Once the crowds die down a little, the donuts become half price as the day gets closer to closing time, and everything in the case is phenomenal. Have a seat inside the basic dining room and enjoy hot plates of eggs, bacon and all the other traditional favorites. Service is always a little slow, but you’ll quickly forgive them after your first of many donuts.
