The arts and at-risk youth 

"Bill Strickland is an arts education advocate who is convinced that the arts are a powerful tool that can be used in many ways, especially by children at risk of falling through the cracks of society. With few positive role models in his younger life, Strickland’s art teacher Frank Ross integrated the arts into life lessons, and, according to Strickland, quite possibly saved his life. Young Audiences of Indiana and the City of Indianapolis will present Strickland, speaking on “The Art of Leadership,” June 14, 5:30 p.m. at Butler University in the Atherton Union’s Reilly Room.
