The Sugar Bean Sisters isn’t a play about typical sibling rivalry. Instead, the comedy is about Faye Clementine Nettles and Willie Mae Nettles, sisters who live in the heart of Florida swamp land, a few miles from Disney World. Their lives are far from a fairy tale, though. Inside their ramshackle house, each sister is waiting: Faye is waiting for Martians to land and take her with them and Willie Mae is waiting for her hair to grow back and marry a Mormon man.
Into this miasma comes Miss Videllia Sparks, a New Orleans lounge singer who shakes everything up.
