Soccer: FC Indiana vs. Ireland 2009 

Here's a quiz: Did you know Indiana has a women's soccer team? No? Here's question two: Did you know they are one of the top women's soccer teams? It's true. And today, June 24, 7 p.m. is your must-see opportunity to catch the FC Lionesses in action against the Republic of Ireland at Kuntz Stadium, 1502 W. 16th St. The Lionesses, who last year were U.S. Open Cup National Champions, has a 7-0-0 record against national teams, including wins over Australia and New Zealand. Their last match, a 7-0 route over the Cleveland Internationals, secured their spot in second place in the Midwest Division in the United Soccer League's W-League. Last year, FC Indiana coach Shek Borkowski was named the 2008 FieldTurf Tarkett USL W-League Coach of the Year, leading the Lionesses to a 22-1-1 record.
