Snowman stabbed

An Eastside snowman

An Eastside snowman was stabbed with a 2-foot-long icicle last week in what authorities called an "apparent literature-related attack." Frosty the Snowman, of the 3000 block of East 10th Street, was allegedly stabbed by Hamlet the Existentialist Snowman, of the 900 block of North Olney Street, with an icicle pulled from the front of a nearby business after Frosty allegedly belittled Hamlet"s poetry. Frosty, Hamlet and the icicle have all melted, so no charges will be filed, police said.
