Slideshow: Souper Bowls 2012 

Second Helpings' Souper Bowl fundraiser combined an auction of 100 ceramic bowls thrown by a Herron prof and decorated by local artists with a tasting of soups created by eight of Indy's top chefs.
Checking in. Visitors pick up tickets to be redeemed for the soup tastings.
Event attendees consider taking home a hand-made Souper Bowl.
A few of the Souper Bowls available for purchase. Proceeds benefitted Second Helpings in the organization's fight against hunger and poverty in Indianapolis.
Corey Jefferson and a friend admire a Souper Bowl decorated by Brian Presnell. Jefferson, a ceramics instructor at Herron School of Art and Design, threw all the bowls, which were then decorated by artists and community members from throughout central Indiana.
Eight Souper Bowls featuring celebrity autographs, such as Larry Bird, Bob & Tom, and Amy Grant and Vince Gill, were offered by silent auction.

Chef Roger Hawkins of Circle City Soups spoons out his spicy tomato soup with white beans and spinach.
Chef Luke Caenepeel of Pogue's Run Grocer created a black-eyed pea and sweet potato soup.
Chef Regina Mehallick of R Bistro put together a French peasant soup.
Soup is a family affair.
